Happy New Year

How will you pronounce "2010"?

I hear people saying "Twenty-Ten", which is different than the way we have been saying the year for the past 10 years (two thousand, two thousand one, two thousand two, etc) - BUT this means we are back to saying the year the way it was said in the 1900's (nineteen ninety, nineteen ninety one, nineteen ninety two, etc). No one ever really said "one thousand nine hundred ninety nine" or "nineteen hundred ninety nine for 1999, as would be assumed since people were saying "two thousand nine" for 2009 instead of "twenty O-nine" (or "nineteen O-9" for 1909). They said 1999 like "nineteen ninety nine"!

So, is it "Twenty Ten" or "Two Thousand Ten"?

I'm going with "Twenty Ten".
