Chinese Steel

WHY are we buying Chinese steel for the new span of the Oakland Bay Bridge? Have we not learned our lessons yet with children's toys and milk? China has a long way to go in regulating industry quality before it can be trusted. Also, think of the JOBS it would create or support if the steel came from the United States! Does the United States not make steel anymore? I can't imagine a better thing for the economy than a $6.3 billion dollar project where all parts and labor are sourced domestically.
