Need a Bear Box in Tahoe?
Call this guy. Bob is his name and I like what he is doing by making bear box art out of scrap metal. I called him to repair an existing bear box when another guy got flaky, and Bob was 'johnny on the spot' - which is a rare find in Tahoe sometimes where people operate on Tahoe Time. If we are ever in the market to replace our bear box, or if we need another repair; we'll certainly give Bob a call.

Squaw with Billy
A great weekend up at Squaw. Dad came out from NY and got on ski's for the first time in 6 years! He went for 2 days and did great. On top of that, my friend Alessa came up for a day and took a 4 hour lesson and learned to ski (Alessa is in the blue pants)! I'm happy I was able to spread the joy of skiing this week.

Congrats Gaylen & Shayla
Just a quick post to congratulate Galen & Shayla. I was honored to attend their wedding last weekend in Tahoe. They had a fabulous setting on the beach with a laid-back feel, encouraging their guests to wear flip flops and dance in the sand. They have a talented group of friends, as there were all sorts of impromptu performances (of particular note was Colorshow, of which the groom is a member) and dancing. It was great.
I managed to take a great photo of the happy couple as they danced down the aisle after just getting married (that's the groom high five-ing by sister-in-law Suzanne). I took this with my iPhone 3G and I really wish I had taken it with a real camera. A lucky shot timed perfectly.
